dvdisaster-doc software package provides data loss/scratch/aging protection for CD/DVD media (documentation), you can install in your Ubuntu 14.04 LTS (Trusty Tahr) by running the commands given below on the terminal,
$ sudo apt-get update $ sudo apt-get install dvdisaster-doc
dvdisaster-doc is installed in your system.
Make ensure the dvdisaster-doc package were installed using the commands given below,
$ sudo dpkg-query -l | grep dvdisaster-doc *
You will get with dvdisaster-doc package name, version, architecture and description in a table
